HOTEL RENAMED 'THE LOTUS AT DIAMOND HEAD' - CASTLE RESORTS & HOTELS WILL MANAGE THE FORMER W HONOLULU - DIAMOND HEAD

January 8, 2009

Honolulu, Hawaii – Castle Resorts & Hotels announced today that they will manage the former W Honolulu - Diamond Head on January 9, 2009 and rename it The Lotus at Diamond Head.

The new name for this 51-room boutique hotel is inspired by the lotus blossom, which blooms from the depths of water into a beautifully scented flower, much like the formation of the Hawaiian Islands.  Asian culture and heritage is as much a part of Hawaii as is the Hawaiian culture and this hotel symbolizes a fusion of a serene Asian setting with warm Hawaiian hospitality.

“We are extremely pleased and excited about The Lotus at Diamond Head,” said Alan Mattson, chief operating officer and president of Castle Resorts & Hotels.  “We will be repositioning and rebranding the hotel that will include an enhancement and refining of the hotel product and services over the next several months.”

Located in the tranquil side of Waikiki, The Lotus at Diamond Head is a peaceful retreat located along the exclusive “Gold Coast” at 2885 Kalakaua Avenue.  Every guest room offers remarkable views of majestic Diamond Head while views of the ocean can be enjoyed from its premium rooms.  Design features combine natural elements, rich woods and graceful lines with soft textures, plush beds and feather pillows.  Modern conveniences include iPod docking station, Internet access and personalized climate controlled comfort.

The Diamond Head Grill and Bar will continue to offer delectable dishes with a tree-line view of Kapiolani Park, and transform on Friday and Saturday nights into one of Hawaii’s most popular  nightspots.

For those on business, a business center is equipped with computers, printer and internet access. Meeting and banquet facilities are available for up to 100 people and can accommodate video conferencing with an audio/visual technician available for any other needs.   Cellular phones, laptops and a portable printer are also available for private rental.

Customers can find more information on The Lotus at Diamond Head or book reservations at www.CastleResorts.com or 1-800-367-5004.
