Castle Resorts & Hotels (“Castle Resorts”) respects and values your rights to privacy and makes every effort to ensure that your privacy is safeguarded. The following information is intended to describe the policies followed by Castle Resorts to protect your privacy.

Collection of Personal Data

Personal Data is data that could identify you as an individual or relate to an identifiable individual.

Throughout your user guest experience with us, we collect Personal Data including: name, gender, address, email address, phone number, fax number, postal address, social media profile data, and credit card information.

We may also ask for information related to your travel preferences so that we can provide better service and make your vacation a more memorable one.

If you are making a reservation which includes a rental car, we will also ask for the information required by the rental car supplier, including the names and age of the driver(s) of the rental car.

If your reservation is made as part of or in connection with a group, meeting, or event, we will provide your name and dates of stay to the group, meeting or event planner, or organizer.

How We Collect Personal Data

Online Services: We collect personal data when you make a reservation, make a purchase on our websites, communicate with us, or connect with us or post on social media pages, sign up for email marketing, or participate in a survey, contest or promotional offer.

When making reservations: If you elect to receive notifications from Castle Resorts during the reservation process, the information on the reservation form (excluding your credit card information) will be recorded in the database. You will have access to the database at any time to update this information.

Opt-in Subscriber: If you elect to subscribe to Castle Resorts marketing communication outside of the reservation process, only your email address and country of origin are required. Occasionally, Castle Resorts may send you messages regarding discounts, specials, or additional privileges that you may be entitled to if you belong to our list of email subscribers. Because your privacy is important to us, you may request to be removed from our list of email subscribers at any time by utilizing the instructions to unsubscribe.

Owners. We collect Personal Data from Condo Owners of properties that we manage.

Third Parties. We may collect data about you from third parties, including personal, demographic and aggregate information. For example, if you make a booking through a travel agent, we will obtain your travel information from that agent. We may also obtain information about you from our marketing partners, advertisers and other third parties.

Other Sources. We collect Personal Data from various other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners and other third parties.

Collection of Other Data

“Other Data” are data that generally do not reveal your specific identity or do not directly relate to an individual. To the extent Other Data reveal your specific identity or relate to an individual, we will treat Other Data as Personal Data. Other Data include: browser and device data; data collected through cookies and other technologies; demographic data and other data provided by you; and aggregated data.

Use of Cookies: A "cookie" is a string of electronic information that your web browser uses to store information as you click from page to page on a website. Cookies do not contain your name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card number, or any other information which personally identifies you. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and cookies are used by most major commercial websites. How We Collect Other Data

Pixel Tags and other similar technologies. Analytics. We also collect data through Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, which use cookies and other technologies to collect and analyze data about use of our websites. These services collect data regarding the use of other online resources.

Your IP Address. We collect your IP address, a number that is automatically assigned to the computer by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP address is identified and logged automatically in our server log files when a user accesses our websites, along with the time of the visit and the pages that were visited. We use IP addresses to calculate usage levels, diagnose server problems and administer our websites. We also may derive your approximate location from your IP address.

Aggregated Data. We may also aggregate data that we collected. This aggregated data will not personally identify you or another user.

Use of Personal Data and Other Data

Any Personal Data sent to us may be used by Castle Resorts & Hotels for the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy. If we intend to use your Personal Data for a purpose other from these purposes or if we intend to disclose it to any third party not previously identified, we will notify you and offer you the opportunity to opt-out of such uses.

Protection of Your Personal Data

Castle takes extra care to ensure that your customer data is not used in any way for which you have not given us approval. Castle does not sell, lease, trade, or give your email address or other personal information to any third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Castle uses MailChimp to manage its email newsletter and marketing programs. MailChimp has its own Privacy Policy (available for review at MailChimp.com) which protects the personal data it receives from Castle and other customers.

Except for information provided to MailChimp and to travel suppliers or vendors whose services or products you have purchased, Castle will not give any of the personal information that you have provided to us to other companies without your permission.

In order to eliminate unauthorized use, your credit card information is sent securely from your browser to our reservations center. Credit card numbers are utilized only for payment processing and are not kept for marketing purposes. No credit card information is stored on our servers.

We ask that you do not send us any sensitive information via email. Credit card information should only be provided to us via the online reservation form, which encrypts your credit card information to ensure your security, or by contacting our reservations center.

Access, Change, or Remove Your Personal Data

Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

The criteria used to determine this period include: The length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide our services to you; whether there is a legal obligation to which we must abide; and/or whether it is advisable considering our legal position.

Terms of Use

When you access the Castle Resorts website, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the Castle Resorts’ Privacy Policy and that the laws of the State of Hawaii shall be applicable regarding any disputes. You are also aware that electronic transmissions are considered to be public rather than private media and that any information you provide is considered to be the property of Castle Resorts.

You agree that Castle Resorts will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or other damage that arises from the use of this site, including the dissemination of information that is provided by other parties contributing to this site. Castle Resorts also reserves the right to change, at any time, any of the terms and conditions and to modify, add, or remove sections of this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, we ask that you refrain from using this website and we will provide other means for you to book your reservations and/or obtain information on our products.

Changes in our Privacy Policy
