Complimentary Damage Protection

For peace of mind during your stay

We are pleased to offer Complimentary Damage Protection as part of your Cleaning Fee during your stay with us.

We know that while you're enjoying your vacation home in Hawaii, a glass of red wine can spill or other unintentional accidents can happen. With our Complimentary Damage Protection, guests are covered for certain accidental damages.

Complimentary Damage Protection is available at the following Castle properties:

  • Waikiki Grand Hotel

 

Kauai

Damage Protection Terms & Conditions

Accidental Damage Protection is complimentary as part of the cleaning fee. The rental Guest will not be obligated to pay for damage to real or personal property in the rental unit of less than $1,500 as a result of accidents, inadvertent acts or omissions.

The following are not covered under the Damage Protection Plan:

  • 1. Intentional acts or omissions by Rental Guests and/or their invitees.
  • 2. When the damage to the Property could have been foreseen by a reasonable person including additional cleaning and/or maintenance resulting from abuse and/or neglect.
  • 3. Gross Negligence which, for the purposes of this Damage Protection Plan, shall be defined as an act that is reckless or willfully disregards the consequences to the Property.
  • 4. Property damage resulting from use or operation of a motor vehicle or power tool.

In the event of loss or damage to the Property caused by such acts or omissions by a Rental Guest and/or their invitees, the Rental Guests will be liable for such damage, the cost of which may be charged to the credit card submitted by the Rental Guests.

Administrative Procedures

All damage claims will be administered by staff at the Property. Such staff will have the initial responsibility and authority to determine the nature and extent of damages, necessary repairs and eligibility for the protection plan described herein. Rental Guests are requested to report any damage to the Property or its contents to the front desk staff by the time of checkout. In the event of any dispute relating to this protection plan either party may submit such dispute to binding arbitration according to the rules and procedures of Dispute Prevention & Resolution, Inc.

Terms of Coverage

The Accidental Damage Protection takes effect upon check in or registration on the booked arrival date to the Property together with payment of the Cleaning Fee or, if no cleaning fee paid, as a separate Accidental Damage Protection fee and terminates at checkout time or upon the departure of the Rental Guests, whichever occurs first.
