Directions from Kahalui International Airport (30 miles - 52 minutes)

As you exit the Kahului Airport terminal, you’ll be driving on Keolani Place. Take a slight left onto Dairy Road / HI-380. Turn left onto Honoapiilani Highway / HI-30 S near Maalaea. Continue on HI-30 S past Olowalu and Lahaina Town until you reach Akahele Street, where you’ll turn left. Take another left onto Lower Honoapiilani Road. Polynesian Shores Condominium Resort will be on your right. If you reach Haliu Street, you’ve driven too far.

Will my credit card get charged?

Your card will be charged the required deposit.

What are your front desk hours & after hours procedures?

This is a remote check-in location, and no front desk is actually located on this property. We have an office at our Paki Maui property located just down the street at 3615 Lower Honopiilani Road, Lahaina, Hawaii 96761, that has Front Desk hours from 8:00AM to 8:00PM and is available to you for any emergency questions.

Can I request an early check in or late check out?

You may request for early check in or late checkout, which will be subject to availability. Fees may apply.

I didn't receive a confirmation. How can I check if my reservation went through?

If you made an online reservation, you will be receiving an email confirmation. Please check your spam/junk mail folder if you have not received anything. To reconfirm your reservation, you can call our customer representative at (800) 367-5004 or send us an email resinquiry@castleresorts.com.

Can I upgrade my room?

Yes, you can upgrade to a larger suite or room with a view. Call us at (800) 367-5004 and a customer representative will be delighted to assist you.

Do you have a resort fee, what is the fee, & what does it include?

We do not charge a resort fee.

Complimentary bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, facial soap, and body soap.

Do you have a pool and Jacuzzi?

Yes, we have a pool, but we do not have a Jacuzzi.

Do you provide beach or pool towels?

Yes, we provide beach towels.

How many floors and elevators do you have?

We have 2 floors but no elevators.

What bedding options are available?

All 1-bedrooms have 1 queen and 1 sofabed. All 2-bedrooms have 1 king, 1 queen, and 1 sofabed OR 1 queen, 2 twins and 1 sofabed.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are not allowed in our guest rooms or resort area, with the exception of service animals. Noncompliance with this policy can result in a penalty fee and dismissal from the property.

DINING OPTIONS

Do you have a restaurant on-site?

We do not. However, we are directly across from Honokowai Fish Market and directly down the road from Honokowai Marketplace.

Do you offer in-room grocery service?

TRANSPORTATION & LOCATION

Do you offer transportation?

We do not offer airport shuttles or transfers. However, transportation is available from the airport to the property including taxis, buses, and car service. Since Kahului Airport is a considerable distance from West Maui, we strongly advise that you rent a car during your stay on Maui.

How close are you to the beach?

Polynesian Shores is located directly on Kaanapali Beach. However, the beach fronting our property may not be suitable for swimming. Honokowai Beach Park is adjacent to our property and is within walking distance from the resort. This beach park is recommended for swimming and snorkeling.

How far are you from the airport?

Polynesian Shores is located about 29 miles from Kahului Airport, and 1 mile from Kapalua Airport.

Airport taxi service?

Yes, we call a taxi for you as needed and requested.

Do you offer parking?

Parking is available free of charge.

Policies

Room Type - Payment & Cancellation Policies

Room Type - Payment Policy

All reservations require a deposit to be charged at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due upon check-in. The deposit amount varies, depending on the selected travel dates. For stays from:

  • December 19 - March 31 2 Nights Deposit required
  • April 1 - December 18 1 Night Deposit required

*Please note: If your travel dates fall within two policy periods, the larger deposit policy will be applicable.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in guest's name or in the name of a member in the traveling party. The outstanding balance will be collected upon check-in, if not provided prior to arrival. Reservations are not confirmed until the initial deposit and reservation processing fee is received.

Room Type - Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
    • Stays from December 19 - March 31: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 14 days prior to arrival. All deposits are non-refundable for any reservation, which is not cancelled at least 14 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from April 1 - December 18: Reservations made for stays including any of these days require a 3 days' notice of cancellation prior to arrival in order to receive a deposit refund. All deposits are non-refundable for any reservations, which are not cancelled at least 3 days prior to arrival.
    • In case of a no show, none of the deposit will be refunded.

Individual Unit - Payment & Cancellation Policies

Individual Unit - Payment Policy
  • Deposit:
    • A 50% deposit will be charged at the time of booking
  • Remaining Balance:
    • Due 45 days prior to arrival for stays from December 19 - January 2
    • Due 60 days prior to arrival for stays from January 3 - March 31
    • Due 90 days prior to arrival for stays from December 23 - January 2

*Please note: In case your travel dates fall within multiple policy periods, the remaining balance will be due at the earlier date.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in guest's name or in the name of a member in the traveling party. Reservations are not confirmed until the initial deposit and the non-refundable $25 reservation processing fee is received.

Individual Unit - Cancellation Policy
    • Stays from December 19 - January 2: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 90 days prior to arrival. All deposits are non-refundable for any such reservation, which is not cancelled at least 90 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from January 3 - March 31: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 60 days prior to arrival. All deposits for reservations including any days within this period are non-refundable unless cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from April 1 - December 18: Reservations made for stays including any of these days require a non- refundable reservation deposit at the time of booking. Cancellations received on or less than 45 days prior to arrival will result in a full charge.

Taxes and Fees

Room rates are subject to Hawaii General Excise Tax and Transient Accommodations Taxes, which currently totals 14.416%.

A non-refundable $25 Reservation Processing fee will be charged at the time of booking.

Minimum Night Stay Policy

There is a 2 Night Minimum Stay for all reservations, except for stays from December 23 - March 31 when there is a 4 Night Minimum stay.

Family Plan
    • Children 17 and under stay free using existing bedding; total occupants including children cannot exceed the maximum occupancy of the confirmed room. Noncompliance with this policy can result in a supplemental per person fee an/or immediate cancellation of the right to occupy the unit.
    • Cribs are subject to availability and can be rented for $20 per night.
    • Rollaway Beds are subject to availability and can be rented for $30 per night.
Additional Comfort
    • Free parking is available for 1 vehicle per unit.
    • Additional housekeeping services can be requested for a surcharge.
    • You may use Castle's Island Grocery Delivery Service to order your groceries & have them delivered to your room prior to arrival or during your stay. Visit www.MauiGroceryService.com. Fee applies
Qualified Rates

To be eligible for a qualified rate (Military, Senior, Kamaaina, Government, AAA/CAA, Commercial, Airline employee, Owner Club, Travel Agent, etc.) guests must present a valid form of identification at check-in. If you are unable to provide sufficient identification, Castle Resorts & Hotels will provide you with the best available rate at the time of check-in.

Prepaid Non-Refundable Rate

Castle offers a pre-pay & non-refundable rate for selected properties at various times. To be eligible for this special rate, the full amount must be paid by the time of booking. All bookings are final and may only be altered by a qualified Castle Employee. Cancellation will result in a full stay charge.

Reservation Guarantee

Unless you have booked a specific unit, Castle Resorts & Hotels cannot guarantee requests for specific units, but will honor such requests when feasible based on availability at check-in. Castle Resorts & Hotels reserves the right to substitute alternate accommodations of a similar or superior room type. All reservations are subject to change or cancellation if rooms become unavailable for reasons including, but not limited to, natural disasters or other acts of nature, damage to the property or maintenance problems, strikes, owner usage, sale of unit, changes in applicable law, or failure of other guests to vacate as scheduled.
