  • Systems Analyst

    The Systems Analyst at Castle Resorts & Hotels holds a key position to ensure that communication, processes, features and functionality flows efficiently between the Castle Team and Castle’s IT solution partner for properties and headquarters. This position manages and owns the requirement process, support process, communications, knowledge base and training processes for the ERP system (Newyse and Maxxton Software) used. This position is the key and primary account person from Castle’s team and the person will work closely with functional leads at Castle: Operations, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Ecommerce and Executive Committee. This role is technical, and process slanted, but business acumen will be key to ensure that new and improved processes and procedures are driven and adopted by data and business needs. As this position is cross functional it will reside within the Information Technology department of Castle Resorts & Hotels.

    Job Description:
    Support Function
    1. Will monitor and ensure timely responses to support chat and support emails.
    2. Will be the primary point of contact for escalation processes and support tickets to be created.
    3. Will work with stakeholders to develop and manage optimized support processes.
    4. Manage and ensure timely communication and updates are made via support system.
    5. Will be the primary point of contact when disputes or discussion needs to take place.
    6. Will work with each functional team lead and communicate needs.
    7. Will create new procedures for incident reporting and keep track of follow ups and results.
    8. Will hold bi-weekly meetings with key stakeholders internal and external to Castle.
    Data and Systems
    1. This role will know the cross functional impact of changes in configurations or new feature/functionality changes and will proactively ensure risks are mitigated.
    2. Will perform basic and advanced configuration settings in Newyse, Maxxton Software, and Maxxton CMS.
    3. Will ensure that new features, releases and functions are tested pre and post release.
    4. Keep track of system up/down time and reason for such.
    5. Will manage the Castle Team’s ticket dashboard and provide weekly reports to Castle Stakeholders.
    6. Work closely with team leads to keep track of milestones, deadlines and costs related to the Newyse system and agreed upon roadmap(s).
    7. Work closely with Data Analyst to keep data dictionaries, mapping and data integrity intact.
    8. Will govern the interaction of change requests from each function and drive the business case internally and facilitate with Maxxton.
    SOPs and Training
    1. Will work with team leads to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) exists for all areas of the system and work with IT staff to ensure SOPs are easy accessible (web/mobile, etc.).
    2. Will work with Maxxton and Castle teams to ensure that an optimized training program with videos, knowledge-based system, ticket system, and onsite/webinar trainings is built out.
    3. Will work closely with trainers in each functional area to ensure that proper training, follow up, tools and documentation is in place to support staff once training finalized.
    4. Will perform training to staff and team leads when needed.
    Qualifications:
    1. 5+ years of systems management / operations required.
    2. 4-year bachelor’s degree in hospitality or systems related degrees or equivalent job experience.
    3. Hotel operational experience working with PMS and CRS systems required.
    4. Experience and knowledge about hotel accounting processes.
    5. Experience in operations and accounting for vacation rental industry is preferred.
    6. Experience in Project Lead/Management preferred.
    7. Experience in managing systems in a support role preferred.
    8. Experience in process optimization and support processes definitions.
    9. Experience in requirements gathering.
    10. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    11. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    12. Experience and willingness to work in an agile team environment.

  • Marketing Manager

    Manages and coordinates the development and implementation of marketing initiatives for the Castle Brand, Vacation Rental Brand and individual Castle properties to meet and exceed marketing objectives and top line revenue. Specific areas of responsibility include Public Relations, Creative Design, Social Media, Marketing Programs, Travel Trade Marketing, Partner Marketing, Marketing Plans and Budgets.This position will constantly look at design and technology to improve or create a competitive advantage to enhance Castle's brand exposure.

    Job Description:
    1. Lead creative design for all online and traditional marketing initiatives including, but not limited to website, online banners, print, and flyers.
    2. Working with PR firm, coordinate corporate and property communication for all brands.
    3. Partner with GM for the Castle Vacation Rentals brand to manage marketing efforts for Castle’s expansion into the Vacation Rental market place.
    4. In collaboration with VP of Ecommerce & Digital Strategy, develop and implement Social Media strategy and tactics with the assistance of third party tools and vendor. Develop brand, regional and property specific campaigns with primary focus on increasing engagements with Castle’s guests/followers.
    5. Work closely with the Ecommerce, Sales and Revenue teams to drive omni channel marketing campaigns across the enterprise.
    6. Lead all initiatives for pictures/video across all channels and products. Including manage vendors as well as hands on work to edit multimedia as needed (via adobe suite of products).
    7. Assist President, VP of Sales and VP of Ecommerce & Digital strategy develop marketing strategies and tactics with budgets and well defined KPIs for each market segment for the hotel, condo and VR products.
    8. Brand building – assist the executive team and participate in the overall lead the overall branding process for existing and new brands.
    9. Partnership Marketing – Work with existing partner management teams as well as secure new partner relations to ensure external hotel, air and cruise partner goals are met.
    10. Lead and become the ambassador for marketing related areas in the Newyse system (Vendor: Maxxton), including, but not limited to: guest communication, channel distribution, travel agent and corporate initiatives, specials and packages.
    11. Coordinates all new marketing initiatives, will route and manage the program worksheets and other documentation related to new initiatives. Take a project management lead for all new initiatives.
    12. This position will assist in content updates via CMS or, if needed, via HTML and CSS.
    13. Participate in all scheduled company meetings, presentations and communication meetings as required and necessary.
    14. Will manage the coordination, as well as contribute to, the development and management of the annual overall marketing budgets and marketing plans for chain and property.
    15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Ecommerce and Digital Strategy or President.
    Qualifications:
    1. Proven knowledge in working with Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, in Design, Illustrator and Dreamweaver).
    2. At least 5 years’ experience in traditional marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
    3. College 4-year degree in Travel Industry management or BA/MBA preferred.
    4. Proven expertise in managing social media campaigns, content curators, bloggers and photographers.
    5. Proven experience in leading omni channel marketing campaigns (initiate, implement, report).
    6. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    7. Basic knowledge of Content Management, HTML and CSS preferred.
    8. Proven knowledge of hospitality marketing including research, planning, market positioning, market segments, advertising and promotions, internal marketing, and distribution channels preferred.

    2. Answer all incoming calls within 3 rings.
    3. Quote room rates and availability and close sales by utilizing sales techniques.
    4. Work with customer to quote alternate rates and availability, cross selling to other Castle properites when needed.
    5. Accurately input reservation (phone, fax, email, internet) into computer system.
    6. Provide supportive information to customers: directions, activities, etc.
    7. Interact with other RSA's, Sales Managers, Travel agencies and Wholesalers.
    8. Clerical duties: faxing, typing, filing and other tasks.
    Qualifications:
    1. Must have at least 1 year residency in Hawaii.
