    We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proven Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for a multiple property regional brand managing both full service hotels, resort condominiums and a vacation rental brand. Experience with the vacation rental and resort condominium markets are key.

    The position will report directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer in our Honolulu Corporate Headquarters and lead a team of hospitality sales, marketing and revenue management professionals to manage, plan, direct and implement the sales and marketing activities for all Castle properties and the Castle brand.

    Responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all Castle sales and marketing activities for the company and individual properties/market segments to meet and exceed revenue objectives.

    Areas of responsibility include brand strategy, advertising, direct sales, CRM strategies, direct marketing, public relations, pricing strategies, promotions, electronic distribution, sales management, reservations and integrated marketing initiatives.

    Position is a member of the Senior Management Committee, which is the policy making entity of the company. Interfaces with other company disciplines including Operations, Accounting, Finance, General Counsel, Administration and the Board of Directors.

    Assists in new property acquisitions and owner relations. A tough minded, results oriented, involved, communicative leadership style of management with strong planning, directing, problem identifying and solving required. Utilize a team management, participative style and approach.

    Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    1. Develop and implement comprehensive annual market plans and marketing budgets for the company and each individual resort property to meet and exceed revenue targets for all Castle properties.
    2. Managing brand development and strategy to launch of new properties and brands.
    3. Manages and directs the sales, marketing and reservations activities to meet and exceed targeted revenue objectives.
    4. Establish specific revenue goals by market segment and distribution channel developing specific objectives, strategies, tactics and budgets to achieve and/or exceed revenue targets. Develop a strategic approach to marketing with a close loop marketing process to constantly monitor progress against predetermined goals.
    5. Establish and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing management process that provides measurement, tracking and accountability of all sales and marketing activities.
    6. Participate in the Strategic Planning Committee to guide overall company strategic growth plans.
    7. Develop detailed annual advertising and marketing budget tied to strategic goals and objectives.
    8. Deploy ongoing product development to identify new sources of revenue and business opportunities.
    9. Develop and implement individual property market plans for priority properties and as needed, that reflect the unique market attributes and unique selling points (UPS) of each property.
    10. Deploy channel distribution management to include electronic and other traditional distribution channels to optimize revenue opportunities for all Castle properties.
    11. Establish sales incentive plans tied to specific, predetermined criteria to assist in exceeding targeted revenue objectives.
    12. Develop and implement a Public Relations and Corporate Communications Plan to achieve company objectives, brand development and individual property needs.
    13. Plan, develop, implement and measure all travel trade and consumer marketing programs and initiatives to achieve revenue targets for each segment.
    14. Develop, maintain and solidify key industry relationship and partnerships to leverage for Castle marketing initiates.
    15. Coordinate trade shows, consumer shows and sales promotions on behalf of all properties and to corporate objectives.
    16. Active participation in key trade organizations to provide Castle brand exposure and to identify and optimize opportunities.
    17. Establish and promote excellent owner relations through direct participation in owner meetings, written sales and marketing updates, etc.
    18. Manage the reservation department to ensure optimize efficiency for the department.
    19. Plan and coordinate sales and marketing meetings, ongoing sales and marketing reviews and other communication meetings as needed and required.
    20. Responsible for the selection, training, development, supervision, motivation and leadership of the sales, marketing and reservation staff.
    21. Develop a corporate market segmentation/performance reporting system to develop reporting standards and performance benchmarks.
    22. Participant in new property acquisition efforts and perform as a key member of the acquisition team.
    Qualifications:

    Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

    1. Experience: Ten (10) or more years’ experience in directing the planning and execution of a sales and/or marketing department at a corporate level involving hotel, airline and/or travel industry operations. A proven track record in meeting high performance sales, promotional and marketing standards. Experienced in developing and executing marketing plans and strategic planning. Must have a good working knowledge of Hawaii’s travel industry, distribution systems, hotel and the vacation rental industries.
    2. Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of Hawaii’s hospitality industry, distribution channels and industry relationships. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver effective oral presentations to owners and internal departments. A strategic thinker and demonstrated creativity in finding ways to meet and exceed revenue and sales objectives. High degree of practical marketing experience and brand development.     2. Will work with Maxxton and Castle teams to ensure that an optimized training program with videos, knowledge-based system, ticket system, and onsite/webinar trainings is built out.
    3. Will work closely with trainers in each functional area to ensure that proper training, follow up, tools and documentation is in place to support staff once training finalized.
    4. Will perform training to staff and team leads when needed.

    8. Brand building – assist the executive team and participate in the overall lead the overall branding process for existing and new brands.
    9. Partnership Marketing – Work with existing partner management teams as well as secure new partner relations to ensure external hotel, air and cruise partner goals are met.
    10. Lead and become the ambassador for marketing related areas in the Newyse system (Vendor: Maxxton), including, but not limited to: guest communication, channel distribution, travel agent and corporate initiatives, specials and packages.
    11. Coordinates all new marketing initiatives, will route and manage the program worksheets and other documentation related to new initiatives. Take a project management lead for all new initiatives.
    12. This position will assist in content updates via CMS or, if needed, via HTML and CSS.
    13. Participate in all scheduled company meetings, presentations and communication meetings as required and necessary.
    14. Will manage the coordination, as well as contribute to, the development and management of the annual overall marketing budgets and marketing plans for chain and property.
    15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Ecommerce and Digital Strategy or President.
    Qualifications:
