This oceanfront all-suite condominium consists of beautifully furnished one-, two-, and three- bedroom suites with swimming pool, sun deck, jet spa, tennis courts, and barbeque area.

After Hours check-in: Head to Poipu Shores at 1775 Pe‘e Road. There will be an after-hours box at the front of the office where you can pick up your keys and directions. Please return to Poipu Shores the next morning to complete registration.

Getting to Makahuena at Poipu

Directions from the Airport (15 miles - 30 minutes)

As soon as you exit the Lihue Airport, continue straight ahead from the first intersection on Ahukini Road. Turn left at Kuhio Highway / Highway 56. Stay on the right lane on Kuhio Highway / Highway 56; this will veer into Kaumualii Highway West / Highway 50. Turn left at Maluhia Road / Highway 520. Follow Maluhia Road / Highway 520 for two miles. The first intersection you see on the left side is Ala Kinoiki Highway. Turn left. Follow Ala Kinoiki Highway until you reach the Poipu Road intersection. Drive across Poipu Road which turns into Pe'e Road. Continue driving until you reach the Makahuena at Poipu, which is located on the left side of the road just past The Point at Poipu resort. Our street address is 1661 Pe`e Road.

Resort & Reservations

Will my credit card get charged?

Yes, your card will be charged the required deposit at booking. If you are booking a non-refundable rate, your card will be charged the entire stay at booking.

Is there a minimum night stay requirement?

There is a 4 Night Minimum Stay during the period December 19 - January 2. Otherwise, there is no minimum stay requirement.

Are there any additional fees that I should know about?

Yes, a non-refundable reservation processing fee of $25 is applied to each reservation.

A cleaning fee will be applied to all bookings for stays and will be assessed by the property at check-out. Fees are per stay, per condo unit, plus taxes.

What time is check-in? Check out?

Standard check in time is after 3pm HST and check out is before 11am HST. Please note that our front desk is located at nearby Poipu Shores, 1775 Pe‘e Road.

What are your front desk hours & after hours procedures?

Our front desk is located at nearby Poipu Shores, one of our sister properties, at 1775 Pe‘e Road. If you plan on arriving after hours, there will be an after-hours box in front of our office with keys and directions to your room. Please visit our front desk the next morning to complete registration.

Can I request an early check in or late check out?

You may request for early checkin or late checkout, which will be subject to availability. Fees may apply.

I didn't receive a confirmation. How can I check if my reservation went through?

If you made an online reservation, you will be receiving an email confirmation. Please check your spam/junk mail folder if you have not received anything. To reconfirm your reservation, you can call our customer representative at (800) 367-5004 or send us an email resinquiry@castleresorts.com.

Can I upgrade my room?

Yes, you can upgrade to a larger suite or room with a view. Call us at (800) 367-5004 and a customer representative will be delighted to assist you.

Do you have a resort fee, what is the fee, & what does it include?

We do not charge a resort fee.

Are requests guaranteed?

You may make requests at the time of booking. Please note, requests are not guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Do you offer cribs?

Cribs are subject to availability and can be rented for $20 per night. You may request at the time of booking.

Do the rooms include internet access?

All rooms offer complimentary in room high speed internet access via cable. Wireless internet is available upon request.

Do you provide housekeeping service?

We offer once a week housekeeping for a 7-night stay or longer. Maid service can be purchased from $35 to $70 per day dependent on the size of the unit and type of service you would like.

Do you offer smoking rooms?

All our rooms are non smoking in compliance with state law.

Do you offer ADA rooms, how many and which room types?

Unfortunately we do not.

What bath amenities do you provide?

Complimentary bathroom amenities include shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, facial soap, and body soap.

Do you have a pool and Jacuzzi?

Yes we do. Pool hours are from 9am-9pm.

Do you provide beach or pool towels?

Yes, we provide beach towels.

How many floors and elevators do you have?

We have 2 floors with no elevators.

What bedding options are available?

One bedroom units offer one queen bed. The two bedroom units offer either one king or queen, plus two twin beds. The three bedroom units offer one king or two queens plus one queen and two twin beds.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are not allowed in our guest rooms and resort area, with the exception of service animals. Noncompliance with this policy can result in a penalty fee and dismissal from the property.

DINING OPTIONS

Do you have a restaurant, if not what are the closest restaurants and distance?

We do not have a restaurant on property. However, Poipu has a variety of dining options.

Do you have in-room grocery service?

Yes. You can pre-order groceries and have them delivered to your room prior to arrival or during your stay. Visit www.islandgroceryservice.com.

TRANSPORTATION & LOCATION

Do you offer transportation?

Public transportations are available from the airport to the property, including car, shuttle, taxi and public transit. Our properties do not offer airport shuttles or transfers.

How close are you to the beach?

While our resort is oceanfront, the property sits on a cliff. The closest beaches are Brennecke's Beach and Shipwreck Beach, both are a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive from property.

How far are you from the airport?

The property is 15 miles from Lihue airport, approximately a 35-40 minute drive.

Airport taxi service?

Yes, we call a taxi for you as needed and requested.

Do you offer parking?

Self parking is free of charge.

Room Type - Payment Policy

All reservations require a deposit of one night plus Hawaii General Excise Tax to be charged at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due upon check-in.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in guest’s name or in the name of a member in the traveling party. The outstanding balance will be collected upon check–in, if not provided prior to arrival. Reservations are not confirmed until the initial deposit and reservation processing fee is received.

Room Type - Cancellation Policy

Refundable if cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival, 29 days or less to arrival forfeits 1 night + General Excise Tax (including no-shows).

    • Cribs are subject to availability and can be rented for $20 per night.
    • Rollaway Beds are subject to availability and can be rented for $30 per night.
Additional Comfort
    • Parking is free.
    • Additional housekeeping services can be requested for a surcharge.

Qualified Rates

To be eligible for a qualified rate (Military, Senior, Kamaaina, Government, AAA/CAA, Commercial, Airline employee, Owner Club, Travel Agent, etc.) guests must present a valid form of identification at check-in. If you are unable to provide sufficient identification, Castle Resorts & Hotels will provide you with the best available rate at the time of check-in.

Prepaid Non-Refundable Rate

Castle offers a pre-pay & non-refundable rate for selected properties at various times. To be eligible for this special rate, the full amount must be paid by the time of booking. All bookings are final and may only be altered by a qualified Castle Employee. Cancellation will result in a full stay charge.

Reservation Guarantee

Castle Resorts & Hotels cannot guarantee requests for specific units but will honor such requests when feasible based on availability at check-in. Castle Resorts & Hotels reserves the right to substitute alternate accommodations of a similar or superior room type. All reservations are subject to change or cancellation if rooms become unavailable for reasons including, but not limited to, natural disasters or other acts of nature, damage to the property or maintenance problems, strikes, owner usage, sale of unit, changes in applicable law, or failure of other guests to vacate as scheduled.
